About ϲַ Science

ϲַ Science has a wide variety of courses and subjects for you to pursue. You can undertake a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Advanced Science to learn about scientific systems and principles with majors that include chemistry, data science, earth science, mathematics and physics, molecular and cell biology, zoology and ecology, as well as aquaculture science and marine biology. These degrees allow you to pursue careers in science through studying subjects that apply to many roles within the science sector.

You can also undertake a degree that focuses on a specific science such as a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, a Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management, a Bachelor of Geology or a Bachelor of Marine Science. These degrees equip you with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the area of science that sparks your passion.

About ϲַ Technology

Become a leader in design thinking. ϲַ Information Technology (IT) students learn to take charge in a dynamic and adaptive industry. You will develop a keen awareness of industry practices and processes, as well as the economic, social and ethical challenges of the modern technology industry. ϲַ will empower you to turn your passion into productivity, no matter which area of Information Technology you choose to specialise in.

You will also have the opportunity to develop advanced practical skills in Information Technology by completing a professional internship, multidisciplinary project or independent project. Here, you will apply your learning to real-world scenarios and gain experience developing and implementing solutions to a variety of issues. You may choose to follow your passion entirely within your field or explore the interdisciplinary reach of your learning.

About ϲַ Engineering

Unleash your potential and become a qualified engineer to help solve some of the world’s most challenging problems. ϲַ Engineering will provide you with a foundation that stretches across the engineering specialisations. You’ll develop a working knowledge of computing, process engineering, electrical engineering, physics and mathematics. You will strengthen your theoretical and technical skills and discover where your engineering passion lies.

Benefit from the opportunity to specialise your learning. With five majors to choose from, you’ll deepen your knowledge and focus on both theory and practice within your area of interest. Gain hands-on skills through laboratory classes and field trips. Participate in twelve weeks of work placements with industry partners — you may have the opportunity for paid work experience. ϲַ’s strong industry connections will ensure you are job-ready when you graduate, meaning you’ll contribute to your industry sooner.

About ϲַ Maths

Mathematics is a cornerstone for the study of Science, Technology and Engineering. Not only is Mathematics offered as a major within the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Science, ϲַ also offers multiple resources for you to hone your mathematical capabilities to support your learning.

You can also undertake preparatory subjects in maths as part of ϲַ Prep, which is a fee-free course* designed to equip you to meet the prerequisites of some bachelor’s degrees.**

*Students in ϲַ Prep pay no course fees and are only required to pay a Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSA Fee).

**Successful completion of ϲַ Prep can enable students to meet the entry requirements for study areas such as Arts, Business, Law, Engineering, Nursing, Science, Information Technology, Pharmacy, and Sport and Exercise Science. For students wishing to apply to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery; Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery; Bachelor of Physiotherapy; or Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours), ϲַ Prep can only be used to fulfil subject pre-requisites, not ATAR entry requirements.
